After working with the different types of light, I conclude that the type of light you use is very important. Certain types of light, such as rembrandt and split, create a dramatic effect that will evoke emotions different that loop and butterfly will. Silhouette is a type all its own, and you can go farther than just photography and make it a digital art. You can use existing light from the sun, or you can use artificial light. These are very different and can greatly affect the photo as a whole. Overall, the way that you light a photo is the most important thing, and an image can be made or broken just from the light that you use.
I would recommend to someone doing this project to take their time lighting the photos. It is not a race so it does not matter whether you go fast or slow you go. If you take longer to set something up, it does not matter. My successes where that I got the shadow lighting done very nicely. My group worked together very well and we figured out together how to get all the lighting perfectly.
