Creative Techniques Project

 Working with creative techniques was a lot of fun for me. I enjoyed learning how to work in photo shop with the various techniques that there are. Some of the techniques we used were more difficult than others, and some I thought had better results than others. My favorite that I made would have to be my circular cut distortion, and my least favorite is the image overlay. This is because of complexity of edit. The circular distortion has high complexity while the image overlay has low complexity. That is why I believe that I like it.
It is difficult to compare creative techniques to "straight photography" because it is so different. With creative techniques you focus less on the original picture and more on the editing afterwards. With straight photography you focus almost entirely on the taking of the picture and the editing can feel almost like an afterthought. For this reason, it is very difficult to choose which I like better. If I had to chose, I would pick creative techniques because it feels like more of an art form to me.
